Tianguis:

A tianguis is an open-air market or bazaar that is set up in a certain place in a city or town, usually in a street, lot or parking lot, and is held on fixed days. In the tianguis you can find a wide variety of products, such as clothes, food, utensils, flowers, meat, fish, among others.

The word tianguis comes from the Nahuatl tiyānquiztli or tianquiztli, which means "market". The tradition of tianguis dates back to pre-Hispanic times, when bartering was the most common way to obtain products and services.

Tianguis are a mixture of the mercantile traditions of the pre-Hispanic peoples of Mesoamerica and the bazaars of the Middle East. Today, tianguis are an alternative for vendors, as the prices of products are often more affordable than in fixed markets.
